August 15-20, 2009...Thanks to Auntie Jo Jo & Uncle Mike, we got to spend 5 days at Carolina Beach, NC. I went with Daddy, Mommy, Jack, Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Matt, Auntie Jo Jo, Uncle Mike, and my cousins, Charlie (2 3/4)& Crosby (7 mo.). We had a really great time. I especially enjoyed sitting in the sand and playing in the water. I had fun with my cousins, and I did some fun things. Mommy took us to the aquarium in Fort Fisher. We also rode on the ferry from Fort Fisher to Southport. I liked the breeze and watching the pelicans and seagulls. Thank you Uncle Mike & Auntie Jo Jo!!!

I'm 11 Months Old!!!

August 17, 2009...I turned 11 months old today. Mommy is getting sad because I am almost one! I am having fun cruising around all the furniture. I can really get around now...both crawling & cruising. I am not walking, but I may be walking soon. I still have two teeth on the bottom and no signs of any coming in on the top. I like to eat any fruit mixed with apples (blueberries, blackberries, cherries, plums), oatmeal, sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, pears, cheese (my new favorite), Cheerios, Puffs, and bread. I love to drink water out of my sippy cup, and I really like to drink water out of Jack's cup...any cup that he is using. I can clap and am starting to wave to everyone. I am into everything. I especially like Jack's toys and getting into them, which drives him crazy. I still put everything into my mouth. I am enjoying being read to more now. My favorite books are Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?; Peek-a-boo (a book with pictures of babies); any book about babies by Margaret Miller; Little Ladybug; Little Kitten; My Puppy Friends; Duckling & Friends; and Colors. I love to go to the pool and chill in my float, go to Rhyme Time at the library, go to Grammy & Grandpa's house, take baths, watch Jack play, laugh with Jack, go after the remote controls and cameras and cell phones, eat snacks, make silly sounds, laugh & be tickled, see Daddy when he comes home from work, go for walks in the stroller, go to the YMCA while Mommy works out because they spoil me in the nursery, pull Jack's nightlight out of the wall while Mommy is reading to us, and be held. I love attention. I have spiky hair that is really starting to come in. I am usually holding a little orange cat that Jack calls "Baby Nyeah-Nyeah" (not exactly sure how to spell it). I think that is what he called cats when he was little. I am getting the hang of sleeping through the night and now I usually don't wake up until morning. I am a happy baby. Sorry, no lion pictures today...I'm at the beach!

A New Friend...

August 9, 2009...Mommy met my new friend today. Her name is Ansley. Her mommy & my mommy are very good friends. She was born on August 7th, just like my new cousin, Michael. I can't wait to meet her.

My New Cousin...

August 7, 2009...I got a new cousin today!!! His name is Michael Robert Austin, and he was born today, August 7, at 2:06pm. He weighs 8 lbs 7 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. His daddy is my uncle Michael (Daddy's brother), and his mommy is my auntie Lish. He is about 11 months younger than me. I get to meet him in October at my cousin Kathryn's wedding.

Busy Day...

August 4, 2009...We had lots of company today. I got to meet Ella this morning. She was one of Mommy's students when she used to be a teacher. Ella liked playing with me, and she thought I was very cute.

I also got to see my cousin, Lindsey. She came over for dinner and playtime. She is moving to Tennessee in a couple of days for graduate school.
