Zoo...

March 31, 2010...I went to the N.C. Zoo for the first time today. I went with Mommy, Jack, and some of our friends. We had a great time! Here are some of my favorite animals...

March 28, 2010...Today I got to meet Daddy's first cousin, Kyle. He is a junior in high school. I also got to see Kyle's daddy, Uncle Dan. I've met him before, and he is Nana's brother. I had so much fun playing with Kyle!!!

We even all went out for frozen custard before they left!

Book Reading & Signing...

March 27, 2010...Today I met a new author! He is a friend of

Mommy's, and he just had his first children's book published.
Mommy took us to his reading, and I got my own copy of

the book signed by the author. The book is Doug-Dennis

and the Flyaway Fib, and the author is Darren Farrell.

We even got to eat Doug-Dennis cookies!!!

I'm One and a Half!!!

March 17, 2010...I am now 18 months old...one and a half! I'm still a little peanut, but I'm changing every day...learning so much! I'm pretty adorable. I love music, and I sing/hum songs. Mommy can recognize a few. My favorite songs are a song Jack sings at school (Jack, Jack, Jump Up and Down), Old MacDonald, and Jack's favorites, Centerfield and Go Cubs Go! When I hear those songs in the car, I start moving my legs and dancing. I also like the theme song to The Busy World of Richard Scarry that I watch with Jack in the mornings. I still love to be read to. My favorite books are my "Huckle book"; Dog; The Very Hungry Caterpillar; Brown Bear; Feely Bugs; Hug; Curious George Rides; Colors; Three Big Caterpillars; and Clifford's Bedtime. I have nine teeth...a new one has been coming in for the past week or so. I really don't enjoy cutting teeth! I am not a big eater...my favorite foods right now are raisins, black beans, pasta, shredded cheese, oranges, bananas, smoothies, shredded pork & rice, crackers (my very favorite), Cheerios, and granola bars. I love to feed myself (blueberry) applesauce with spoon which makes the biggest mess. I try to use a spoon and fork to feed myself. I think this is pretty cool. Some words I am saying are cool, baseball, soccer (socca), Huckle book, Jo Jo, Charlie, cute (coot), Drew, Angela (no, not Mommy...a friend's mommy), pee pee, pizza, Cheerios (chee chee), paci (papi), Grammy (ga-gee), blankie (bankie), shy (sy), all done, and I can say, "Bye Bye, ____ (Jack, Dada, Grandpa, Mommy)" and "Night Night ______ (Dada, Mommy, Jack)." I can sing "jump up and down, jump up and down." I try to communicate with Mommy, but she doesn't always get what I'm trying to say. I overheard Mommy saying "shy" and now when she asks me if I'm silly, I say, "Shy." Mommy always says, "You're not shy" and now I'm trying to say that, too. I am a character. I like to walk around and just get into everything. I seem to enjoy destroying Jack's carefully placed toys. I am still an extremely messy eater, and I think it's funny to put lots of messy food in my hair. I love to be outside, and when I'm out front, I immediately try to walk as fast as I can, away from Mommy, down the street. I like to go to the coat closet and get Mommy to put a jacket on me. I love to go to the pantry and point to the crackers. I love seeing Grammy & Grandpa & getting into their Cheeze-its; going to the park; going to the YMCA with Mommy & Jack; being the "bat boy" while Jack plays baseball; taking baths & splashing; eating crackers; chasing Jack and Mommy; being with Daddy; going for walks in the stroller; being held; standing up on my changing table while Mommy & Daddy are trying to change me; laugh with Jack; read books; and have fun! I am usually happy, silly and/or getting into some type of mischief. Here I am at 18 months old...
